they sure do
reminds me of this one time I was walking in downtown manhattan. I saw an african american man selling a bunch of Hip Hop/Rap Cds by the roadside. I walked up to him. He obviously thought that an Indian would not know anything about rap and hence didn’t give me much attention.
And then I started talking. Asked him for old school rap titles that only hardcore rap aficianados would know. You should have seen the look on his face
Soon, another customer (who till now pretended she knew what she wanted) started asking me which CDs to buy.
The icing on the cake was when a couple of months later I walked down the same road, I heard a call from behind me. It was the same CD vendor sending me a shout out!
I should have stayed in Brooklyn and not Queens!
I prefer Brooklyn… I hope the photo’s bring back some good memories.

The Indian picked up Tupac’s “Me Against The World” when he was 12 years old…and then there was no looking back!
