Welcome to In Kara’s World where my focus is on arts & entertainment, culture and health & wellness. With perhaps a few odd bits along the way…but hey that’s my world.
I have been living in NYC for 15 years. Love it but at the same time living somewhere warm sound enticing on cold nights. NYC is an addictive city though so hopefully I will be able to start traveling again soon.
I will share my lifestyle with you. Being in NYC yet keeping it healthy. I am an actress, reiki master and I have gone through yoga’s teachers training. Yoga and Meditation help to keep me grounded.
Thank goodness my passion has pulled me back into acting. I was the National Training Manager for a major French Skin Care Company and didn’t feel fulfilled. I thought I needed something more related to business so I went into Insurance and Financial Services. However, once an actress always an actress. That is why I didn’t feel fulfilled. I stopped living my true dream.
In the last few years as I focused on healing I found my way back on the right path. What a different it makes to do what you are meant to do. Now that I am more grounded it allows me control reaching into varies characters and the confidence to explore the good the bad and the ugly. That is what makes acting so rewarding. For instance the most recent role I was cast as a very mean and racist women, far from who I am. I feel lucky I get the opportunity to sink my teeth into such a real character and explore the corruption that happens in the church.
I find beauty in raw emotions and that is what I try to bring to the table. I am not always story book pretty but that is how I like it. I also love to interview others and seeing what makes them tick. For now I am doing this with a hosting gig interviewing filmmakers.
I hope one day I can do this as I travel the world. I love learn about other cultures and people and what a better way then to capture it on video.
